INTERMEDIATE : This is for students that have used oil paint before and have a basic understanding of the medium.  Learn how to transform a standard photo reference into a

“Mystic Forest”

I have painted many forests from my travels and the beautiful Otway’s. I’m always inspired by the beautiful depths and colours of filtered light through the trees into the undergrowth. Now you can learn how to create this too. I take you through step by step to develop mood and atmosphere in layers of colours of your choice. Using fine glazes, brushstroke and palette knife techniques you will be amazed at what you achieve.

We start on Friday evening  prepping our canvas and sketching deciding on palette colours and composition. 7:00- 9:00  then on Saturday 9:30 – 5:00 full day of painting and continue to finish with your own Mystic Forest original Oil painting to take home on the Sunday. Make sure you have room in the boot as it will still be wet.

It will be a large canvas approximately  75cm x 120 cm depending on availability.

Morning & afternoon teas are supplied. Lunch is at a local café at own cost. All equipment and materials and tutoring supplied, just come in comfy studio clothes & shoes, and ready to have fun.  Basic experience is required

Class Times: 

Friday evening  6:30- 8:30  , Saturday 9:30 – 4:00 then completing your piece on the Sunday 9:30 – 4:00. 

 

All materials provided. Morning & afternoon teas supplied. If you have special dietary needs please bring something along.
