Beginners welcome ! It’s big , its messy, it’s fun ! Learn how to transform a standard photo reference into a
“BIG WAVE” 2 days
I have painted many waves from my travels and the beautiful Surfcoast I’m always inspired by the beautiful depths and colours of light & movement in a crashing wave. Now you can learn how to create this too. I take you through step by step to create action movement and power in a wave. Using oil paint brushstroke and palette knife techniques you will be amazed at what you achieve.
We start on Sat Morning at 9:30 prepping our canvas and sketching deciding on palette colors and composition. Then a fun full day of painting on the Sunday continue to finish with your own Big Wave Oil painting to take home on the Sunday. Make sure you have room in the boot as it will still be wet.
It will be a large canvas approx 70 x 120 cm may vary slightly depending on availability.
Morning & afternoon teas are supplied. Lunch is at a local café at own cost. All equipment and materials and tutoring supplied, just come in comfy studio clothes & shoes, and ready to have fun. Basic experience is great however beginners get great results too.
Class Times:
Saturday 9:30 – 5:00 then completing your piece on the Sunday 9:30 – 5:00.
All materials provided. Morning & afternoon teas supplied. If you have special dietary needs please bring something along.
